Poor Digestive Health is Dis-empowering
Good digestive health equals optimal health and well-being—healing—ever-momentary healing. Think about this: Healing is self-empowerment. Are you really hearing me?
I hope you heard me that time. Self-empowerment means being in control of your own health.
The opposite of self-empowerment is dis-empowerment. When you hand over the control of your health to others, no matter in what capacity they are for-profit serving you, you are dis-empowered.
Poor digestive health and dis-empowerment are bedfellows; they are partnered for the life of the individual. Both grow out of the fear beLIEf that the individual has no control over his and her health; therefore, the individual is NOT in control.
When you hand over your control to external authorities, no matter who they are and in whichever capacity, you are at their mercy; you are powerless; you are now the proud owner of a ‘victim mentality,’ ‘victimized,’ and a ‘scarcity mentality.’
Powerlessness is a fear-filled life of never really making your own decisions, even though you pretend to yourself that you are. Switching doctors, Naturopaths or Herbalists is not making your own decisions, nor having true power of control over your own health.
Good Digestive Health Depends on Applied Self-education
It has been traditionally stated, and a widely disseminated meme, that “knowledge is power.” This is an erroneous concept and a dis-empowering, negative principle. It is only half of the equation that leads to success in any endeavor, striving, and goal.
When sitting in the classroom being force-fed information that I could not apply to my everyday living, I felt dis-empowered. It was not until I took a Spanish class in the 5th grade, and began to communicate with others in Spanish, that I felt empowered. Lifting weights (under the tutelage of a professional weight lifter), taking a shop class, making the basketball team, running in Track, etc., these were empowering because it was conceptual training applied to real life.
Knowledge is powerless until is applied to everyday living and goals attainment; applied knowledge is power—self-empowering.
Applied Knowledge is Self-Empowerment!
In the same way, good digestive health is directly dependent on self-educating and applying the knowledge gained to changing one’s faulty beLIEf system, thus changing perception, and thereby changing one’s daily habits of eating.
